HANDICAP INTERNATIONAL - CRUTCH CHAIR

The moment my senior shared this idea with us, I immediately asked him to count me in.

I believe in the cause – a simple furniture art that speaks volumes about teaching the more fortunate youth about landmine issues and how they can help younger victims get the education they also deserve.

Creating this simple chair has a long and tedious story behind it. We went to the most remote area in the west, then to the east, trying to find the perfect fit between chairs and crutches. The team also flew to Cambodia to do a social experiment around this which gave the project another interesting angle.

In the end, it was all worth it when we finally saw the crutch chair placed in schools and students spreading the message we want to communicate.
